Hi all -
just a quick little note to say hello and that I’ve arrived in my new city safe and sound! the trip was a bit harried when my dad decided to make a drastically wrong turn in Montreal and we got lost for a while, but I did get to see the beautiful Quebec City along my way , which I highly recommend as a vacation destination - it’s the most beautiful city I’ve ever seen.
no, Rainbow Girl, I’m not in Calgary. That’s way more than halfway! I’m in Toronto now, which might be a little under halfway, but close enough.
thanks to all-stars donna darko and Scarred for continuing the conversation while I’ve been busy getting oriented.
And thanks to Red Jenny for meeting me for coffee! yay!
ok, so I don’t have internet at home yet, hopefully by the end of the week, and I’m really busy with school and getting settled in, so I can’t promise many posts in the upcoming weeks, but I’ll do my best!
Congrats on the successful move! Hope the first week of classes went well. Just remember, when studying, the Bedford Academy or the Green Room are always viable alternatives to the library.
Welcome to Toronto!
I spent a few weeks in Toronto in ‘01′. Thanks to the rye and this great beer called Black Ice, my memories are vague.
I did love the tower though, with the glass floor.
All the best to you; a move like that must be quite exciting.
But Montreal is such a fun place to get lost in
hooray! glad you made it safe and sound.
Happy times in Toronto.
I hope the city treats you well.
Actually, I’m moving too…and your problems with blogging I’ve had ever since early August. Expect me to start picking up blogging again in the next 2 weeks.
L&S, Scarred
thanks everyone!
I just got my internet hooked up at home - finally! now all I have to do is get my cable TV hooked up… I was over at a friend’s place last night and was drawn to their TV like a moth to a flame, mesmerized by the sights and sounds… ah, TV!
things are going great, settling in just fine, school is great, lots of new nice and interesting people, getting to know my neighbourhood, and I seem unable to say no to a social invitation so I’ve been keeping busy too! so far, Toronto is treating me great (except for the motherfucker who stole my windshield wiper…)!
